In the first concert of the series, promising young students of the local music schools, who have distinguished themselves in the past year, perform their favourite pieces. Among them are songs by Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms and Leonard Bernstein, piano music by Joseph Haydn and Sergei Rachmaninov and music for bass trombone by Gordon Jacob.
