At the farm, Karlsstaðir in Berufjörður we welcome travelers to rent out the renovated old farmhouse that was built in 1927. The view from the house is spectacular as is the nature all around. The family bought the farm in spring 2014, they left Reykjavík to chase their long-lived dream about making food, art, and music in the country under the name Havarí. The house sleeps eight in four rooms. There are many hiking paths in the area. The next town is Breiðdalsvík, 20 km, and Djúpivogur 40 km.
Havarí produces Bulsur, vegan/vegetarian sausages and Sveitasnakk, chips made from rutabaga/swedes. Svavar and Berglind make music with the bands Skakkamanage and Prins Póló.
You can preorder Bulsufeast and concert in the old barn.
