Tehúsið Hostel is centrally located in Egilsstaðir. Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, and there are comfortable common areas where guests can relax. Free WiFi is available throughout the hostel. The hostel places a strong emphasis on environmental responsibility and Fair Trade. All waste is sorted for recycling. Our values are joy, sustainability and honesty. The hostel also has a cosy café and bar serving tea, coffee and homemade treats. The bar offers one of the largest selections of beers in East Iceland. The hostel offers simple, clean rooms with comfortable beds, including both dormitories and private rooms. Bathroom facilities are shared. Bed linen and towels are provided. The accommodation is centrally located next to the Egilsstaðir campsite and tourist information centre. Breakfast is available upon request and includes, among other things, locally sourced delicacies.  

Bait Shack is a lively restaurant, bar and events venue by the sea in Neskaupstaður, where historic charm meets a vibrant atmosphere. The building has a fascinating history. It was brought over from Norway in the late 19th century and, after serving as accommodation for fishermen and later as a baiting shed on the pier for almost a century, it was given a new lease of life when the Hildibrand family lovingly renovated the building and opened Bait Shack in the summer of 2017. Today, Bait Shack is a lively gathering place for both locals and visitors. The menu features delicious dishes, seafood, quality pizzas and a wide selection of drinks, all served in a warm and distinctive setting. On sunny days, there is hardly a better place to be than out on the terrace right by the sea, wrapped in a blanket and watching whales swim through the fjord, often just a few dozen metres from shore. Bait Shack is also known for its lively cultural scene and great atmosphere. Events are held most weekends, with a varied programme of live music, stand-up comedy and other entertaining evenings that make for memorable nights.

Skaftfell Bistró is located on the first floor of the Skaftfell Art Center, at Austurvegur 42, in Seyðisfjörður. The restaurant offers an innovative menu that reinterprets traditional Icelandic fare with an innovative twist. A section of the restaurant pays homage to the Swiss-German artist Dieter Roth, who lived and worked in Seyðsifjörður in the last decade of his life. In addition to original works by Roth, the restaurant also showcases the works of contemporary artists of East Iceland.  In keeping with principles of sustainability and respect for the natural environment, the Bistró's chefs work with locally-sourced fresh ingredients, celebrating the sea and land around us and supporting local farmers and fishermen, producers and procurers. 

Affiliated to Austri Brugghús, we are a local bar located in Egilsstadir in Iceland. We serve Austri Brugghús' beers! We are a cozy and modern bar that offers a great selection of beer, beer flights, and brewery tours.

Kaupfélagsbarinn is a cosy bistro and restaurant in the heart of Neskaupstaður, located on the ground floor of Hildibrand Hotel on Hafnarbraut. The focus is on local ingredients and homestyle cooking, with quality produce from the region – including fresh fish, wild mushrooms and locally sourced meat – taking centre stage in creative and flavourful dishes. A welcoming atmosphere, stylish interiors and excellent service are at the heart of the experience. Kaupfélagsbarinn is equally suited to a quick lunch, a delicious dinner or a relaxed drink with friends, with a varied selection of beverages including carefully selected wines and beers.

KHB Brewery is located in a historic building by the harbor, where we produce quality beers and strong spirits using pure Icelandic ingredients. In our taproom, guests can enjoy a variety of beers, locally distilled gin, and taste the original Icelandic Landi.KHB’s production has received international recognition, including awards at the London Beer and Spirits Competitions in recent years. Visitors are welcome to relax in the cozy taproom atmosphere, join a tasting session, or book a guided tour of the brewery. 

Norð Austur sushi & bar is a part of Hótel Aldan , a family-run hotel in the peaceful and remote town of Seyðisfjörður only a few meters from the iconic Rainbowstreet and Blue Church. The resta urant is renowned for its delicious sushi and has been named the best sushi restaurant in the country. The restaurant, Norð Austur, is named after our beloved, unloving wind direction: North East. The restaurant uses only the freshest ingredients available at any given time, with the fish being caught locally by fishermen in the fjords. With respect for the raw materials and Japanese traditions, Norð Austur serves modern sushi alongside tasty beverages. The restaurant only operates during the summertime - which makes booking a table in advance recommended.

The restaurant ("Já sæll") is open during the summer. During other seasons the house is a community center.
