Móðir Jörð is an Organic farm in Vallanes offering accomodation in newly refurbished guesthouse with suites where design is based on using wood from the farm.   The Móðir Jörð products originate from the organic farm of Vallanes, in East Iceland.  Móðir Jörð is recognised for organic Icelandic products made from ingredients which have been grown under natural conditions in the pure and unpolluted climate of Iceland.  The organic café & restaurant is open from June - July - August from 10 am to 5 pm Monday to Saturday. Opening times in May and September are from 11 am to 4 pm.  

You will find the farm Síreksstaðir in glen Sunnudalur, a small and peaceful haven off valley Hofsárdalur in Vopnafjörður. The farm boasts a small guesthouse with 7 rooms along with two summerhouses, each with space for 4 people. Both offer comfortable accommodation with a roomy deck and one has a hot tub.  The guesthouse has a living room, bathroom, and showers in shared facilities. Síreksstaðir is a traditional farm with sheep, cattle, horses, and ducks in addition to guest accommodation. Since this is a working farm, our guests will have a “front-row seat” during the moving season and other farm activities. Gistihúsið – Lake Hotel Egilsstadir is an established, family-run hotel in a farming district. It meets all modern standards of services and amenities, quality, sophistication, and comfort. It features a comfortable, indoor hot tub (40°C) and a mild sauna that combines the comforts of the steam room and the dry sauna. Its humidity is around 60%, and it warms up to 65°C. There is also a cool sitting pool at 10°C. Relaxing areas are both indoors and outside. The view from Baðhúsið – SPA across the lake Lagarfljót is breathtaking. We want our guest's visit to the spa to be an enjoyable experience of tranquility, relaxation, and rejuvenation. Bathrobes and towels are provided in the dressing rooms. The age limit for the spa is 12 years old. Eldhúsið - restaurant, the hotel's restaurant is innovative and ambitious. Eldhúsið offers Icelandic as well as international cuisine. The service is personal, cooking ingredients are fresh, local, and always of the very best quality for each season. Like the hotel itself, its cuisine is rooted in solid tradition. Still, the ingredients are now introduced with subtle changes and serve its meals with a new perspective, resulting in memorable culinary experiences. We value the quality of ingredients, and most of it is Icelandic, organic, and grown locally. Gistihúsið - Lake Hotel Egilsstadir has cross-country skis for rent during the winter. Multiple cross-country tracks are located in close proximity to the hotel. Ask in the reception which tracks are available during your stay.

Mjóeyri Cottages are one of Eskifjörður’s trademarks. They are the charming, red-colored fishing sheds of Norwegian origin. Our cottages are located on the Mjóeyri peninsula, just outside the village, and offer unbelievable tranquility and a stunning view over the fjord and the surrounding mountains. We offer three kinds of cottages of different sizes.  Each cottage is homey and includes equipped kitchens, living area, and bathroom facilities.  TV, bed linen, towels, and free Wifi is available in the cottages.  The biggest cottages are 39m2 and can accommodate 4-6 persons and the smaller, 24m2 and 29m2, can accommodate 2-4 persons.  Breakfast is available upon advanced notice. Dinner is available during the summer season June – September and is served in our restaurant Randúlfs Sea House, about 500 meters from the guesthouse.  The original house was built in 1885. It has been renovated, updated, and newly decorated, and now it bears the mark of the old and the new times. We put our efforts into creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. From the guesthouse, there is an excellent view of the fjord and the town of Eskifjordur. We offer accommodations in four bedrooms; single, double and twin with joint cooking facilities, a living room, and washroom facilities. All rooms have radio and TV. The premises are a no-smoking area. A spacious veranda lends access to the breakfast room. Bathhouse with sauna, showers, toilets and washing machine is also available for our guests and Jacuzzi in a boat is located in front of the bathhouse.

The Skipalækur camping place has all the facilities required for a successful and enjoyable stay. Skipalækur offers full-fledged overnight stay or sleeping bag accommodation  in rooms of three categories: Rooms without bath and shared living room, WC and cooking facilities. Suitable for up to 10 people. Bed w. linen in single or double rooms, w/without breakfastFamily rooms for 4 people w. private WC and sink, shared shower-, cooking- living room facilities.Bed w. linen, w/without breakfast, children 2-11 years pay half-rates. Room w. bath – refrigerator and kettle in room but no cooking facility at hand. Bed w. linen in double rooms along with breakfast buffet. Extra bed is optional. The five Skipalækur chalets, situated on the banks of lake Lögurinn, offer an exceptional view. Each chalet comes with furniture, bathroom, and shower, a small kitchen w. stove and a refrigerator. TV, radio and a grill come with every chalet. Three of the chalets can accommodate four guests while two are tailored to the needs of two persons. Each hut has space for two extra persons.
