There are three toilet houses in Höfdavík camping with hot and cold water and showers. There are electrical outlets for mobile homes and folding campers, waste disposal, toilet for the disabled, outdoor barbeque, tables, and chairs as well as a playground. In both campsites, the garbage is sorted. The forest is a popular area for outdoor living with a diverse landscape. There are about 30km of marked walking paths you can find on a hiking map. There is a family friendly tree collection/arboretum with over 90 different types of trees and bushes. There is also Hotel Hallormsstaður, a new hotel with 100 rooms and a restaurant. Fljótsdalsgrund Guesthouse
A cosy guesthouse with 10 rooms and a Restaurant.  We have a large Camping site with access to WC and showers 24/7, playing ground, barbecue area and possibility of renting a hall for up to 160 people for larger gatherings.  We are located about 7 km from Hengifoss waterfall, in the heart of Fljótsdalur.
Snæfell
The hut by Snæfell has sleeping bag accommodation for 45 people and a living area for about 30 people. GPS locationfor the hut is: 64.48.250N/ 15.38.600V. In the summer there is running water and a WC but during winter there is a composting toilet. The campsite is located close to the hut and to get there you need to drive road F909. There are many different hiking trails in the area, both marked and unmarked, and the hut lies about 1 km from the walking path to the top of Snæfell. All opening dates can change due to weather conditions.
