Making homemade soaps is a fun and environmentally friendly craft. The best thing about homemade soaps is controlling what ingredients are put into the soaps.
In the workshop, participants get practical knowledge of soap making. We will focus on natural materials to use in the soaps. Safety aspects, preparation for home soap making, handling of raw materials and creation of recipes are thoroughly covered. Participants learn about the main tools and equipment for soap making, as well as learning about a soap calculator to create their own soap recipes. Participants make two soaps, one with vegetable oils and one reindeer soap, which gives about 2 x 8 bars of soap. Demonstrations in soap making methods together with practical participation where everyone practices on a soap calculator under Else's guidance.
