At the Berunes farm by Berufjörður, our small summer restaurant serves dishes inspired by East Iceland’s local larder. The menu changes regularly and is paired with local craft beers and a carefully chosen European wine list. The restaurant is open June–August and is known for its exceptional views.

Chef Róbert Ólafsson, owner of Forréttabarinn in Reykjavík, was born and raised at Berunes. He has worked in professional kitchens in Iceland and abroad for more than 30 years, and his family has welcomed travellers here for decades.
Accommodation is available for around 50 guests in rooms and small cabins, as well as a cosy campsite. There are marked hikes up Mt Berunestindur and Mt Búlandstindur and all of East Fjords within 90 min drive.
