TECHNICAL MUSEUM OF EAST ICELAND

The Technical Museum suffered a tremendous loss due to massive landslides in December 2020. The landslide devastated multiple historic houses as well as destroyed a good part of the museum collection, with Iceland’s cultural and architectural heritage suffering some of the most damaging consequences known in recent times.

Due to this, the Technical Museum will be closed for the unforeseeable future.
