June 10 at 21:00

Price description

1500 ISK per person
Over his 20-year music career, Þórir Georg has been around. He has played in bands such as Gavin Portland, Ofvitarnir, ROHT, Óreiða, and many more. But he has also released music under his own name and My Summer as a Salvation Soldier.
In April he released the record compilation record "Nokkur góð" on Reykjavík Record Shop which features songs from 2009 - 2019 but these songs were originally released on various smaller labels.
During the concert, Þórir will perform songs from the record, older songs, and even some new material.
The musician Axel Flóvent was born and raised in Húsavík. He has been making music from a young age and has been involved in many places in his musical career.
Axel's first EP "Forest Fires" was released in Iceland in 2015, where the music was composed under the influence of everything from Bon Iver to Bombay Bucykle Club. The short album received a lot of attention from the rest of the world and the title track, Forest fires, has been streamed on Spotify over 50 million times.
Axel moved to Amsterdam when he was 20 years old where he signed a contract with Sony. He thought he had arrived in the mecca of music, but the reality was that he was alone working on music every day.
He moved to Brighton in the UK after a year in Amsterdam. After two years of wandering, Axel decided to move back home. He settled in Reykjavík and recorded there his first LP "You stay by the sea", where he works on the journey into space and back home. The stay in another country turned out to be different than he had expected, but nonetheless instructive.
Axel ended his partnership with Sony and later joined the Canadian-based label Nettwerk, with whom he currently works.
Axel has opened for many bands over the years including The Paper Kites, Radical Face, Mumford & Sons, Junius Meyvant and Ásgeir Trausta.
