Beðið (a flower bed (or waiting)) is the 8th work in the Saga Unn's textbook art series, a series of installations where the artist (and audience) transforms different spaces using “recycled” textbooks and dictionaries. A bed of paper beaks, like a living thing, growing, changing shape as more paper “beaks” are created. Artwork growing like a living creature, changing the environment that surrounds it, the mass of paper spreads. This exhibition serves the secondary function of being a pop-up recycling center where guest can participate in the creative proccess by bringing old/unwanted schoolbooks for recycling and by making beaks whih the artist that will be added to the work.
