Dichotomies

The East Iceland Symphony Orchestra will hold a grand concert on April 12, 2026 at Tónlistarmiðstöð Austurlands in Eskifjörður, where it will premiere a new work, Dichotomies, by Wesley Stephens. The piece is a saxophone concerto, with Guido Bäumer performing as the soloist.

The orchestra will also perform the magnificent Symphony No. 9 by Antonín Dvořák, as well as L'Arlésienne Suite No. 2 by Georges Bizet. The conductor will be Gunnsteinn Ólafsson.
