In this film, Dutch musician Tristan Visser explores the possibility of communicating with a whale through music. He sets sail in the Arctic waters of Disko Bay, Greenland, aboard the vessel Mae West. Armed with a guitar, an underwater speaker, and a hydrophone, he aims to provoke a response from the whales. If they react, could this imply that aquatic life can hear all the sounds we produce in the ocean?
Onder Water is in Gallery Klaustur every day until August 1st.
