This is the third of Elín Elísabet's exhibition series in Borgarfjörður eystri. The paintings are all made outdoors in Borgarfjörður and show an intimate look at the endless diversity of the ground; rocks, lichen, moss and flowers intermingling. Poetry is a large part of Elín's art practice and if you look closely you'll see printed lines among the brushstrokes.
Elín Elísabet (1992) is an artist and illustrator who spends her summers painting plein-air. She has been a regular visitor in Borgarfjörður eystri since she randomly got a job in the fish factory there 14 years ago. More info can be found at www.elinelisabet.com.
The exhibition is partially funded by Múlaþing's cultural fund.
