WAITING FOR YOU TO COME
August 30th – October 31st

The exhibition Waiting for you to come, featuring oil paintings by Ra Tack, explores the captivating and innovative world of their work, combining a unique approach to form, material, and meaning. Layering tactile textures with abstract and symbolic representations, Tack reflects on love, longing, history, and identity. The result is art that speaks to both the tangible and intangible aspects of existence, inviting visitors to contemplate the intricacies of their artistic universe.

Ra Tack (they/them) is a Belgian painter living in Seyðisfjörður, Iceland. Their work invites viewers into a lush, timeless world that is at once familiar and fantastic – a utopia full of longing. Tack’s oil paintings explore themes of transition, duality, love, and still life, blending impressionistic intensity with a confronting absence of ecological impulse. Their works reflect isolation and dislocation, oscillating between abstraction and representation, and weaving imaginative landscapes with colour as texture.
