Price description

Fish Factory / Studio Silo present a highly respectable cultural event featuring Cushing, Lynda Mandolyn, and Sárasótt live at Sköpunarmiðstöðin / Fish Factory — an evening of post-punk damage, rock’n’roll elegance, and local gáfumanna-pönk for those who like their music loud, crooked, and just smart enough to make things worse.
Formed in 2014 on the coast of Maine, Cushing are a three-piece post-punk creature pulling from the fragility of Codeine, the brutality of The Jesus Lizard, and the washed-out psychedelia of Neu! The result is an explosive live act dedicated to distortion, volume, and maniacal design choices. They sound like Devo on a bad acid trip strapped to the roof of a bus driven by Lemmy, with the brake lines cut — which is frankly all the endorsement anybody should need.
Lynda Mandolyn, born in Detroit, Michigan, is a pop/rock songwriter with an impressively vast and colourful musical life behind her. She currently plays in Tiger Bomb and Crystal Canyon, has toured the world many times over, recorded a John Peel Session, and was inducted into the Detroit Music Awards Hall of Fame.
Sárasótt is a local punk band that does not take itself too seriously, they play songs about everything from coffee to lovesongs about pin worms.
