Family Adventure Hike to Víknaslóðir with Ferðafélag Fljótsdalshéraðs

The family's adventure trips are based on outdoor activities and togetherness in nature, especially aimed at children and their parents. The tours are based on three focus areas; positive experience, education, and family togetherness. These three focus areas combine to strengthen family ties, build relationships between children and nature, and make the child a stronger individual who can turn to nature to improve faith in his abilities and increase well-being.
Day 1: Attendance at the community center Fjarðarborg at 9:00 and drive to Krossmelur, where cars will be left behind. Walk over Húsavíkurheiði and up to Náttmálafjall, where we enjoy the view. From Náttmálafjall, we go down to Skúmhattardalur and out to Suðurdalur in the cabin of the travel company in Húsavík. Food and socializing in the evening.
Day 2: Departure at 9:00 into Gunnhildardalur but in Gunnhildardalur the giantess Gunnhildur lives. The day will be organized according to weather and winds, and it will be possible to go up to Hvítserkur if the weather is good. Then we will go by car and return is scheduled for 16:00.
Price: 15,000 ISK for adults and free for children under 18 years. Included: Lodge accommodation, guided tours, faith, and dinner in Húsavík. Sponsors subsidize travel. Registrations are accepted on the travel company's website until June 15th.
