A very exciting 3-day trip guided by Skúli Júlíusson and Óskar Wild, where skin to the highest peak of Seyðisfjörður, Sandhólatindur, and ski or snowboard down to the fjord on the first day. In the evening, we treat ourselves to food and drink at Hotel Aldan and discuss options for day two. The plan is set on Bjólfur, but the final choice depends on the conditions. On day three, the group will be driven up to Fjarðarheiði, from where we will skin and ski/snowboard our way to Eskifjörður.
Wednesday, March 6
- Flight at 07:30 from Reykjavík or bus from Eskifjörður.
- 08:50 Bus from Egilsstaðir Airport to Seyðisfjörður.
- 9:35 Arrive at Hotel Aldan where we settle in and get ready to embrace the mountain.
- Set off to Sandhólatindur in Seyðisfjörður.
- Dinner and a cosy evening at Hótel Aldan.
- Overnight at Hotel Aldan in Seyðisfjörður.
Thursday, March 7
- 7:00 am Breakfast and snacks prepared for the day.
- 7:45 Ski touring in Seyðisfjörður. We will choose a mountain and route depending on conditions but the aim is set for Mt. Bjólfur
- Dinner and a cosy evening at Hótel Aldan.
- Overnight at Hotel Aldan in Seyðisfjörður
Friday, March 8
- 7:00 am Breakfast and snacks prepared for the day.
- 7:45 Bus ride from Seyðisfjörður up to Fjarðarheiði heath.
- Ski touring from Fjarðarheiði via Gagnheiði, Mjóafjarðarheiði and Fönn to Eskifjörður.
- Bus pickup in Eskifjarðardalur. Drives the group to Mjóeyri where the tour ends.
- Transport of luggage from Seyðisfjörður to Eskifjörður.

Price: ISK 105.000 per person
The price includes bus trips, guided tours every day. Accommodation at Hotel Aldan, Breakfast and lunch on Thursday and Friday. Dinner Wednesday and Thursday.
NOTE you must have crampons for the skis / boards and the avalanche trinity.
