On the 3rd of September, the exhibition Hnikun opens with works by the artists Ingunn Fjóla Ingþórsdóttir and Þórdís Jóhannesdóttir. In the exhibition, Ingunn Fjóla and Þórdís will show new works based on the history of the Slaughterhouse, which they weave together with ideas about perception, imagery and memory. Behind the exhibition is a considerable amount of research work, but in recent months Ingunn Fjóla and Þórdís have studied the history of the Slaughterhouse, which was operated in Egilsstaðir in the years 1958-2003.
