Beðið (a flower bed (or waiting)) is the 8th work in the Saga Unn's textbook art series, a series of installations where the artist (audience) transforms different spaces “recycled” textbooks and dictionaries. A bed of paper beaks, like a living thing, growing, changing shape as more paper “beaks” are created. Artwork growing like a living creature, changing the environment that surrounds it, the mass of paper spreads.
Audience wanting to participate are welcome to bring unwated old/used school books for recycling.
Saga Unn's Textbookart has been exhibited in Iceland, China and Japan since the projact began in 2023. The artist has been based in Fjarðabyggð, east Iceland, since 2022.
