Droplaug, the Fljótsdælzka handverksfjélag, is running an open workshop in woll roving and handspinning in collaboration with Hallormsstaðskóli.
Marianne will teach the participants the old methods in wool spinning, the special quality about the Icelandic wool - tog and þel - and she will show you how to spin a single from wool roving, using a top-whorl spindle. Learn how to spin wool to yarn. You can bring your own wool to spin into yarn.
