In Germany, Christmas markets during the Advent season are particularly typical. The most beautiful one in Silke's hometown is the Christmas market at Burg Linn. The medieval castle is beautifully illuminated after dark, and inside the castle and along its walls there are countless stalls offering lovely handcrafted goods. But there is also plenty to enjoy in terms of food and drink. Stalls with "Bratwurst", "Glühwein", and "Gebrannte Mandeln" are part of it. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are spent with family. 
"On the second day of Christmas, I like to go for a walk with a friend and my horse in the local city forest. In the middle of the woods, there is a decorated Christmas tree that has been adorned by people passing by" says Silke.
